Dear Friends, Property Investors and Enthusiasts,
South Africans are currently in a state of euphoria after the Springboks were crowned the Rugby World Champions for a 3rd time on Saturday. They managed to unite the vast majority of countrymen by overcoming major obstacles and beating the English convincingly even though they were labelled the underdogs. Through a show of sheer tenacity and utmost determination they succeeded against the odds.
On Friday Moody's adjusted our government's credit rating from 'stable' to 'negative' This did not come as a total surprise after the recent news of unemployment levels reaching 11 year highs and the massive budget deficits evident in Tito Mboweni's Mid-Year Budget Speech. We have our backs against the wall and its time that we stand together, roll up our sleeves and tackle our shortcomings, just as the Springboks did on Saturday.
