Dear Friends, Property Investors and Enthusiasts,
On the 21st of June the Southern hemisphere passed its Winter solstice with our nights now becoming shorter and our days longer. I am also of the opinion that the seasons have ‘moved’ slightly as we are experiencing later than normal Summer rainfall and the cold of Winter is still felt late into Spring. Fortunately we do not experience extreme weather conditions in South Africa which could halt construction for long periods of time!
Past experience has also shown lower levels of activity in both sales and rentals during the mid-Winter months, as has again proved to be the case this year. We now look forward to the warmer weather which should see this turn around.
After a frustrating number of delays with the “red tape” associated with any new building plans, construction of our Twickenham residential development in Victory Park commenced on the 21st of June with the new occupation date now set for the 1st of April 2018. I am also happy to announce that we have managed to negotiate a transaction securing a high speed open access fibre point to each of the units within the development. Statistics have shown that the value of a property is increased exponentially once it has access to a fibre network.
