This past weekend Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni warned the ANC's National Executive Committee that the South African economy is in dire straits. This after the NEC admitted on Saturday that our municipalities are in distress and that service delivery is near non-existent. Although this could not have been a surprise to the NEC, serious questions must be asked on how to improve the situation. The Minister also tabled his 77 page plan on steps to be taken to stimulate economic reform and to create a million jobs. Our construction teams are hard at work putting the finishing touches to our Kilburn Park, Dartford and Crofton Park developments to have them ready for occupation by the 1st of December.As we are nearing the planned completion date we have experienced a surge in interest from prospective buyers.
We have just reached our first milestone at our Finsbury development in Bromhof, Randburg where we have already sold 20 of the 42 homes. After numerous delays I am pleased to announce that we will be breaking ground there during the course of next month. Once our construction teams are on site we will launch the second and final phase of the development.
Good progress is being made at our Studio @ 367 project in Ferndale, Randburg. This is our first project where a vacant office block is redeveloped into residential units, but definitely not our last. Once completed in early 2020 the project will offer three different floor plans for studio apartments with the rental prices starting from R4500pm.
The first phase of our Stoneleigh rental complex in Helderwyk, Brakpan has also surpassed the 35% let mark.
