Although everyone expected a hike in the repo rate last week, not many expected the 50-basis point 'surprise'. With three members of the Monetary Policy Committee voting for the 50 point increase and the remaining two opting for the more conservative 25 points, Reserve Bank Governor, Lesetja Kganyago emphasised that this was done to reign in the inflation rate, currently sitting at 7,0%

With construction either completed or underway on all remaining stands within the Brendavere Estate in Fourways, we are well on our way to have all homes completed by Quarter 3 of this year. Since my previous newsletter, our sales team secured contracts on no less than four homes, thus leaving us with only three cluster homes still available before the project is officially sold out!
The recent rate hikes have somewhat dampened activity at our Ndalo project, but sales are still being concluded regularly, albeit at a slower pace. We are close to reaching the 70% Sold Out mark and I am also happy to report that the first registrations were recently concluded, thus making dreams of home ownership a reality for forty-five families.

We are in the process of upgrading the look and feel of our Fernhill development in Bryanston and I must admit that I am pleased with the changes to date. The homes will have a very modern design and here too, we have decided to supply generator back-up for the entire complex to free Fernhill from ongoing loadshedding.
