Dear Friends, Property Investors and Enthusiasts,
As most retailers are rolling out their Christmas decorations and dusting off their Boney M Christmas hit CD’s in anticipation of the fast approaching holiday season it is a hive of activity on each of our 13 construction sites across Gauteng. With our early sunrises and late start to the rainy season we are capitalizing on these perfect conditions conducive to building. Only 5 weeks remain to the end of the builder’s calendar for the year but we will still be placing a few hundred thousand bricks and pouring many cubic meters of concrete during that time!
Just as I am fairly upbeat and positive about the final stretch of 2018 there are a number of high profile politicians who will most probably be feeling the total opposite. President Ramaphosa recently removed Tom Moyane, the head of SARS and with this writing the fate of Malusi Gigaba, the beleaguered Minister of Home Affairs is still unknown. These sweeping changes combined with the Presidents well received Investment Conference which was held last month will hopefully not go unnoticed when the rating agency, Standards & Poor reviews our sovereign rating later this month.
