Dear Friends, Property Investors and Enthusiasts,
With our days becoming shorter and the nights longer (and cooler) we are about to brace ourselves for the coming winter months. Building productivity actually increases during the cooler months; the construction process is not hampered by rain and the labourers’ energy levels are not drained as much by the hot African sun! Considering all the developments we have planned to complete in 2017 we welcome this time of the year.
We have recently experienced an uptick in the markets spanning across all our sectors - industrial, commercial and residential. Not only was our Park Royal development sold out during March, but all 132 units planned for the 1st phase of our Twickenham project are now also sold - before construction has commenced! The 2nd phase will be released during late 2017.
Before the end of March we had high hopes that the markets would maintain this momentum in the months to come. However, the recent cabinet reshuffle has left the country in turmoil and it takes a brave man to predict what the final outcome of it all will be. Couple this with school holidays and the large number of public holidays occurring in April and I’m afraid it could well be delayed a little more than is usual for April!
On the brighter side, a number of the public holidays we celebrate this month are of a religious nature and I’d like to wish all our employees and clients well during this special time of year.
