The past six months have seen an enormous amount of activity within Renico Construction! The dry weather the Highveld enjoys always helps the construction industry, and our vastly expanded team took full advantage of this fact.

The popularity of our 2 bed / 2 bath sectional title complexes, in low maintenance face brick and now with many energy saving features, has continued to evidence itself judging by the rapid rate with which these units are sold, while our "Affordable Housing", upper-market complexes and cluster developments have likewise proved popular.

Work has also continued apace within the Commercial and Industrial property sector.
RANDPARK RIDGE
The new Eagle Canyon Shopping Centre on Christiaan de Wet Road, where Virgin Active and a Super SPAR are the anchor tenants, is already fully let and due to open in September 2015. Earthworks and piling have been completed, and construction is well underway, with the structural steel and sheeting due to be done in January.

COSMO CITY
In Cosmo City, we have a new communal centre of 8 500m² in the final planning phase, set to be constructed on a 2.4 ha site on the corner of South Africa Drive and Central Republic Avenue. Already Shoprite, SPAR, and a number of blue chip nationals have shown interest. Leasing will commence this month, with bulk earthworks set to begin when we re-open next year on the 12th of January. This centre is scheduled for completion on 25 November 2015.

Cambridge Food (a division of Massmart) took over their new building on the corner of South Africa Drive and United States of America Avenue in Cosmo City recently. This new retail outlet will open shortly.

KLIPRIVER BUSINESS PARK
We have just let both buildings we constructed within the Klipriver Business Park, where due to its central positioning and easy access to the main roads leading to various destinations, there is a high demand for buildings suitable for warehousing and distribution.
LANSERIA CORPORATE ESTATE
Renico Construction is also picking up the pace with the construction of various buildings in Lanseria Corporate Estate, which is strategically situated close to the Lanseria Airport. Erf 659 has recently been completed and handed over to Gulfstream Energy, while construction work on Erf 663, premises for Manmade Studios, is well advanced and our client will take occupation in January 2015.
Also within the Lanseria Corporate Estate, Renico commenced construction of the new Lanseria Business Park. This complex will offer thirty four small warehouses with offices, ranging in size between 280m² and 480m² . All will be available for lease on completion, which is scheduled for 25 April 2015.
LASERPARK
In Laserpark, we are busy erecting the steel structure for a 9 885m² speculative warehouse. This building is set on the corner of Zeiss and Wilge St, opposite the third access gate to the Eagle Canyon Golf Estate. The building will either be let or sold on completion, which is also scheduled for 25 April 2015.
The past 4 to 6 months have been some of the busiest Renico Construction has ever seen in residential construction. We are now comfortably launching a new project every month, and are well on our way to eventually launching up to three new residential developments each month, while at the same time completing and handing over one to two completed projects every month!
COMPLETED PROJECTS
During the last three months we have handed over Stonebridge, a complex of 106 units, as well as the 45 units that make up the Piccadilly complex, both situated in Randpark Ridge. We also handed over nine homes within the Villa Nirvana secure estate on Valley Road, Mogale City, eleven clusters in the Angels View complex in Strubensvalley and two smaller complexes in Blackheath, which we developed to our clients' specifications for rental purposes.
WORK IN PROGRESS
On our 194 unit Manor Park site, situated on the corner of Beyers Naude Drive and Northumberland Christiaan de Wet Road, we are now well over 80% sold-out and are rapidly moving towards the completion of all units. Although the site is earmarked for occupation on 1 April 2015, we are preparing to possibly move the occupation date forward to March 2015.

Within the Enfield complex in Olivedale, we have sold in excess of 95% of the 57 units off plan. Regrettably, construction has been delayed due to hold-ups on technical issues relating to Jacaranda St. However, construction of the 96 units, which make up the complex of Northumberland Park in Northwold has commenced and 50% of these have also been sold off-plan.
DEVELOPMENTS LAUNCHING SHORTLY
During November and December we will be launching the Syon complex in Amorosa, as well as six upmarket townhouses that will make up the Woodlands complex in Fairlands. Also scheduled to commence then is the first of three new Affordable Housing Developments in Dawnpark Ext 42 on the East Rand. January will see the launch of the 193 unit Elmer's End sectional title complex in Northwold and Sundowner Stars in Ruimsig will follow fairly early in the New Year.





Construction on one hundred and seventy six 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartments, the first phase of 306 such units being built for and opposite the Vaal University of Technology in Vanderbijlpark, with the object of supplying shared accommodation to 1250 students, is progressing very well, and the handover is set for 25 November 2014.
NOW MOVING INTO POTCHEFSTROOM (TLOKWE)!
And now we are moving further afield! We have secured our first site in Potchefstroom (Tlokwe) and will be launching a new sectional title development of 89 units there during January 2015.
